Event | #HullBloggers 2014 Throwback

Our first meet-up was way back in March 2014, in Newland’s own quirky coffee lounge, The English Muse. Serving unique blends of coffee and tea, accompanied by homemade cakes and brownies, it was the perfect location for the first #HullBloggers event.

The weather was unfortunately not on our side, and most of us turned up with bedraggled hair, with one blogger sacrificing her gorgeous fur coat in the rain! But this didn’t dampen our spirits and after we got over the awkward introductions, we chatted about everything from blogging to Indian skin cream! It really did feel like we had known each other for years as we tucked into our delicious beverages and got to know each other more.

Next Charley, who had organised the whole thing, handed out the amazing goodie bags! Overflowing with products from Manuka, W7, Teapigs, Lee Stafford and Punky Pins, she really had spoiled us and everyone was extremely excited to root through them. The everyone’s-a-winner raffle saw bloggers win products from Fake Bake, Nanshy and even a full Glossy Box.

As the meet-up drew to an end, and some of the bloggers said their goodbyes, the rest descended on Newland Avenue for a spot of shopping and a bite to eat. The sun eventually made its way out and beautifully set on what was the end of very exciting day but the beginning of #HullBloggers.
